Biosecurity Measures on the Shrimp Farm

உங்கள் மீன் / இறால்களை நோய்களிலிருந்து பாதுகாப்பதற்கும் இழப்புகளை தவிர்க்கவும், உங்கள் பண்ணையில் உயிர் பாதுகாப்பு வழிமுறைகளை கடைப்பிடிப்பது முக்கியமாகும். பண்ணையின் உயிர் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதிசெய்ய, உங்கள் மீன்/இறால் களில் தாக்குதல் மற்றும் பரப்புதல் ஆகியவற்றின் அபாயத்தை குறைக்கும் கட்டமைப்பு மற்றும் மேலாண்மை நடவடிக்கைகளை முன்னெடுக்க வேண்டும்.

முக்கியமான கட்டமைப்பு & தினசரி நடவடிக்கைகள்:

• நோய்க்கிருமியற்ற மீன்/இறால் குஞ்சுகளை பயன்படுத்துதல்
• ஒவ்வொரு குளத்திற்கும் சோதனை தட்டு & வலை இதர சாமான்களை (check trays & nets etc., ) தனியாக வைத்துத்திருத்தல்.
• நீர் வடிகட்டுதல் மற்றும் கிருமிநாசினி அமைப்புகளை சரியாக பராமரித்தல்
• வாராந்திர நீர் தர சோதனை
• சரியான இடைவேளைகளில் கிருமி நாசினி கொண்டு பண்ணை உபகரணங்களை சுத்தம் செய்தல்
• பணியாளர் சுகாதாரம் உறுதிப்படுத்துதல்

Farm biosecurity is the key to protect your fish/shrimp from diseases and save yourselves from losses. To ensure farm biosecurity, farmers should take care of several physical and management measures to reduce the risk of introduction, establishment and spread of pathogenic agents to, from and within an aquatic animal population in you daily farm operations”

General Biosecurity Measures: 

• Bird, Crab, and Animal Fencing 
• Use of SPF( Specific Pathogen Free) Seeds
• Separate Vessel /Trays to prevent contamination between ponds if one got affected
• Proper maintenance of water filtration and disinfection or Sanitation Units
• Optimum Water Quality
• Disinfection of Farm Equipments
• Labors with Good Personal Hygiene
• Proper feed management to prevent over-feeding associated issues
• Check your shrimp Health at regular intervals to identify problems at the initial stages.

Disinfect footwear, hands, or equipment before entering the pond using disinfection dips, it will help to reduce pathogenic loads. Disinfection Dips are prepared by using Bleaching Powder/Chlorine to appropriate levels. Reducing the number of visitors to farms and allowing only farm workers, helps to reduce disease transmission in culture. 

Carry out regular checks of Birds, Crab, and Animal Fencing. If any errors in that correct at that time instantly. Sampling regularly to identify the disease occurrence. Provide settling and treatment of source water through reservoir ponds. A regular check of water quality parameters helps to identify the disease's occurrence in the early stage.
